Copperbelt AG increases capital again

(ISIN: CH0109600491; WKN: A0Q9UF)

The Board of Copperbelt AG announces the successful completion
of the second capital increase this year.

2 million shares of authorized capital under exclusion of subscription rights at a price of CHF 0.50 per share (CHF 0.02 nominal value plus CHF 0.48 Agio) have been placed with financial investors. Thus, the share capital increases by CHF 40,000 to CHF 1.42 million, wherein CHF 960,000 go to free reserves. The number of shares increases from 69 million to 71 million. The capital increase was agreed on 15th of August 2011 and registered in the commercial register of Canton of Basel-City on 30th of August 2011. From the funds of this capital the only credit of the company with CHF 146,494.50 was repaid. The free liquidity is used for further development of the copper-gold project of Dostyk Ltd. subsidiary in Kazakhstan. Above all, the very successful drilling program will be extended with it. The interest of major mining companies in the rich natural resources of Kazakhstan is increasing strongly. Particularly Chinese mining companies are investing in the neighboring Kazakhstan. But also the large multinational resources groups have discovered the country. With this in background, it is not surprising that the capital increase of Copperbelt AG was well oversubscribed.

Based on that the stock price for the new shares could be raised from CHF 0.30 to CHF 0.50 per share compared to the last capital increase.

For the Board,
Peter Goeggel
